I wanted to test Bidvertiser.com as a startup PPC experiment. I’was a little upset at the low CTR and low EPC on facebook and picked up a offer in my peerfly account that pays $3+. I setup an simple bannedr ad that directly links to the offer as usual and set my categories to the required ones that the banner ad falls into.
I then set each of the banner placement CPC bid to anywhere around 0.3 to 0.5 and clicked on begin the experiment.
I Somehow got around 3k impressions in last 3 days and only 1 click, and my peerfly account showed me 3 clicks out of which 2 converted.
Not bad for new offer isn’t it. I assume that the EPC increases as more and more impressions come in, but that was wrong since after running the ad for 3 days, If I see only 1 click and that much less impressions in bidvertiser, that means either the ad network suck or the offer suck.Since its not me who should make that judgement, I should say the grapes are sour and drop the promotion of the offer to find a new one.
If it had been in adwords, may be I would have got more impressions and more clicks though.
The networks I have tried till now are only bidvertiser and facebook. In the coming days I will be venturing into Miva, let me see how it works out.
Also last week I received another $50 coupons free for three months old facebook accounts which is still available for usage in my account. So until that is finished, I would rather earn some dollars to spend on PPC
Update: Earnings on Peerfly stand at $130. (22-Feb-10 to 10-Mar-10 — not bad for a noob).
